The Seed That Travelled
by Eiprila Steina, Titus Salt School, Year 8
A seed was once planted in the gardens of Latvia;
over time the roots grew,
spreading out, feeling the soft thick soil,
creating a new life on Earth.
Eventually the tree grew,
growing bigger and bigger,
and growing plentiful amounts of vast, orange leaves,
swallowing the long auburn branches,
feeling the breeze from the great azure sky,
this is how a family started.
One time a seed dropped from the tree,
getting eaten by the strong breeze,
and then the seed dances in the sky and sprees,
feeling the cold air as it crosses seas,
it released, planting itself in the green grass,
in a great field of Northern England.
This seed will grow grand and alluring,
growing strong and enduring,
vibrant and blazing,
charitable and amazing.
